OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Sept 28 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 09/28/2017 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Canvas Maintenance – Electronic Grading
Description of change: We will be upgrading Electronic Grading in Canvas (Grade Submissions) to provide improved usability and greatly improve performance.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Canvas Grade Submission
Affected systems: boc22payara cluster
Expected End-user impact: During this time, eGrades will be unavailable.

Server Maintenance – Email System
Description of change: Email systems are being updated to work towards a further reduction of spam and malicious email
Downtime window start: 5:30 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Email, DNS
Affected systems: All dns servers that serve up fau.edu. Change will be made on seeker but will be inherited by all slave servers: seeker, ns, ns1, faudns, dnsboc0, dnsboc1, dnsftl1, dnsjup1, dnsjup2, dnsnw1, dnsdav1
Expected End-user impact: During this time, there is no end-user impact
