Intermittent connectivity issues

We are currently experiencing intermittent connectivity issues impacting VPN and remote desktop connections.

We are currently investigating the issue and will update this post as more information becomes available.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Feb 25 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 02/25/2021 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Moving Virtual Machines on the HPC Cluster
Description of change: OIT will be moving several virtual machine on the HPC cluster.

Downtime window end    2/25/2021 6:00 AM
Affected services: completesystems1, NFSv4 testing up19-beegfs-bridge, rna3d
Expected End-user impact: ​These servers will be offline during the maintenance window as we are migrating them to a new virtual machine cluster.

HPC Cluster Centos 7.9 Update
Description of change: OIT will update all compute nodes on the HPC cluster to the latest version of Centos 7.9 including an upgrade to the Cuda 11.2 drivers.​

Affected services: All research computing compute and GPU nodes.​
Expected End-user impact: As compute nodes drain of tasks they will automatically reboot into a new disk image. This will impact users start time for jobs and will impact GPU gobs and MPI jobs which may need slight configuration changes.

Description of change: OIT will updatie JDK for Appworx production master and master agent.​

RESOLVED – TutorTrac Unavailable

TutorTrac has been restored to full service. All related systems and applications should be functioning as usual.
