Description of maintenance: To decrease the likely hood of users accounts being attacked via single sign on we plan to lock accounts for 5 minutes after 10 failed logins.
After implementation users who fail to successfully login to single sign on 10 times will have their accounts locked for 5 minutes. This change will help protect numerous services from potential data breach.
User impact: SSO will be offline for a short period of time while we upgrade the CAS server.

Glibc patch reboot
When: 12:00AM to 12:15AM
Affected services: PCI-DNS, DNS forwarder for PCI systems
Affected systems: All systems on PCI networks that utilize DNS
Description of maintenance: OIT will reboot a server that was recently converted from from redhat linux to scientific linux and patches were applied including glibc update.
User impact: No impact is expected. Although clients cache their DNS responses, we are planning the maintenance during a time that PCI services are not in use in order to be cautious.
