This issue has been identified and resolved. You should now be able to remote desktop to your computer with your hostname.

[RESOLVED]WebEx Meetings not appearing in Canvas

Update – Cisco has identified and resolved the issue for most affected sites. Most sites should now see their courses in their properly configured state. Please standby if any courses on your site are still in setup mode or are experiencing any related issues.

The Cisco Webex tool in Canvas is currently experiencing a synchronization issue. We have reached out to Cisco for a resolution and will post updates as we receive them. If you do not see your meetings/recordings in Canvas, they are still available and accessible via https://fau.webex.com. Please view the guides linked below for instructions on how to schedule, join, and host meetings, and how to share and view recordings through fau.webex.com.

[Resolved] WebEx degraded performance and audio issues

We received reports that some users experienced degraded in-meeting performance, audio disconnections or no audio options.

This seemed to be resolved by 10:29am.

University form server (frevvo) authentication issues

Canvas was temporarily unavailable from 8:15pm until 8:30pm

At approximately 8:15 pm 11/6/19, we received reports that Canvas was unavailable. The Instructure status at https://status.instructure.com/ shows the issue was identified and they are working on a fix. At approximately 8:30pm 11/6/19, Canvas was properly loading and access was restored.

We will monitor the status and post any updates.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Oct 17 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 10/17/2019 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Delayed BHRIC Upgrade
Description of change:  ​Upgrade the Biomedical Research Informatic’s Cores Virtual  Infrastructure to ​​the latest versions.
Downtime window start: 8:00 PM (10/16)
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: BHRIC Virtual Desktop Infrastructure​
Expected End-user impact: Vmware View will lose access to vCenter during this process and users will be unable to spawn suspended or powered offed virtual machines.

BHRIC Virtualization Upgrade
Description of change: OIT will be applying patches on the BHRIC server environment
Downtime window start: 2:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: BRHIC VDI
Expected End-user impact: Most virtual desktops will be suspended starting at 2 am. So users accessing the cluster from 2 am to 6 am will need to wait while for their VM to start again should they wish to use it. Users will also need to wait slightly when they connect in the morning as most services will be suspended.

Owl Apps login issue: Google Services “Something went wrong”

Google status shows the following:

Description:

We are investigating a potential issue with signing into Google services.

We will provide more information by Monday, 2019-08-19 12:45 US/Pacific.

How to diagnose:

Users may have issues signing into Google services. They may receive the error “Something went wrong. Sorry, something went wrong there. Try again.”

Workaround:

There’s no workaround available at this time, but we’ll let you know if we learn of one.
