OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. March 1 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03/01/2018 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

University Form Server Upgrade (Frevvo)
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading the University form server (Frevvo) to provide new features and resolve several problems reported by users.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Frevvo Form Server, examples: Admissions Applications, Immunization Forms, Test Score Collecting Forms, and many more
Affected systems: Frevvo1.fau.edu
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users will not be able to edit or submit data to new or existing Frevvo forms

Email Auditing Change
Description of change:  OIT will be enabling mailbox auditing for all office 365 mailboxes.
Downtime window start: 8:00 AM
Downtime window end: 9:00 AM
Affected services: Office 365 / Exchange Online​

Expected End-user impact: During this time no end-user impact is expected.

[resolved] intermittent issues with the automated campus operator

The FAU automated campus operator, also known as SPOK, is experiencing a problem with one of the hardware nodes. Incoming calls that will be routed to the operator. We are working with the vendor to resolve this issue.

Starfish Vendor Maintenance

The Starfish Advising Software (aka Success Network) will be unavailable due to vendor maintenance on Saturday 02/24/18 from 12:15 A.M. to 8:15 A.M (EST). During these 8 hours, the system will be unreachable and the site will generate an error.

VIP Document Management System Upgrade – postponed to Friday, March 2 from 5:00PM to 5:30PM

VIP Document Management System Upgrade
Description of change: We are making an enhancement to the VIP Document Management System in order to provide better security for logins
Downtime window start: 5:00 PM
Downtime window end: 5:30 PM
Affected services: VIP Document Management System
Affected systems: vip.fau.edu, boc22coex01
Expected End-user impact: During the upgrade, VIP document system will be unavailable. After the upgrade, users will have to go through the shibboleth single sign on login (and most likely 2factor authentication) that is enabled on many other FAU services.

Network maintenance on March 7 from 12:01 am – 6:00 am

OIT will be performing network maintenance on Wednesday, March 7 from 12:01 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. Due to the nature of the maintenance, users may experience intermittent Internet outages lasting approximately 5 minutes during this window. The Internet connection will be rerouted to the backup connection to minimize any downtime.

Wi-Fi upgrades on Tuesday March 06

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, between 5:00 am and 6:30 am, OIT will perform routine maintenance on the FAU wireless networks. This upgrade will cause an interruption to the fau, fauwpa2, and fauguest wireless networks.
