Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03/29/2018 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of change: OIT will be updating our mail filtering appliances.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: Inbound email for fau.edu. Outbound email using “smtp.fau.edu” and “smtpxy.fau.edu.” Email between Office365 and Gmail (for students)
Affected systems: bertx.fau.edu, berty.fau.edu, boc22esa02.fau.edu, nwesa02.fau.edu
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users may find mail delivery delayed and in some cases may get retries/bounce backs on messages sent.

Single Sign On Update

We will be performing a short emergency update to the Single Sign On System at 9 am Monday the 26. Some services may experience a brief (less then one minute) period where authentication fails. These include but are not limited to Internet Native Banner, OwlDone, Banner Self Service, and Starfish. Most other services should experience no issues.

Expected End-user impact: Users will be unable to connect/use the affected services.

Intermittent Login Issues

Users are reporting issues logging into Canvas, Banner Self Service and some other SSO services. We are investigating the problem and actively working on a solution. If you experience these issues please restart your browser, computer and/or internet router. We have reports that this resolves the issue.

[Completed] OwlDone Maintenance down from 10pm – 11pm on 3/15/18

The OwlDone Student Onboarding portal will be down from 10pm-11pm on 3/15/18 for a new feature implementation.

University Form Server

Some forms hosted on the University Form Server (Frevvo) are returning errors when the form is submitted. We will be implementing a solution to the problem at 12 am March 14th, 2017. If you have any questions please contact Helpdesk.fau.edu.

MyFAU has been restarted and is functioning normally.

[resolved] OIT OS and App deployment system (SCCM) is unavailable

Update 12:00 – The issue with SCCM has been resolved and all SCCM functions should be operating normally

Issues with the SCCM system have appeared after updating the SCCM version this morning. OIT is working with Microsoft to resolve the issue. Currently OS deployment/App deployment/SCCM console may work intermittently. We will update this notification with any updates.
