OIT Systems Maintenance – Thurs. Feb 15 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 02/15/2018 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Oracle Identity Manager Patch
Description of change: OIT will be applying Weblogic patch 18057437 to Oracle Identity Manager to fix a bug.
Downtime window start: 6:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: Oracle Identity Manager​
Affected systems: boc22oimp1 and boc22oimp2​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, password resets will be unavailable during the restarts.​

Duo Security Account Sync
Description of change: OIT will be improving the process of creating user accounts in Duo Security.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: grouper.fau.edu
Affected systems: grouper.fau.edu
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end user impact is expected we will create provisioning user accounts from LDAP into Duo and will not be shutting any off. This will sync the users first and last names and their group membership. (employee, faculty, administrator)

Server Upgrade and Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be increasing the computing resources and updating servers associated with Identity Management
Downtime window start: 4:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: OIM and any other servers depending on the production OUD (Oracle Unified Directory) LDAP servers for information may be affected. These include, but are not limited to: OIM user information updates. Server logins based on LDAP authentication to OUD​. Appliance logins based on LDAP authentication to OUD. Web applications based on LDAP authentication to OUD.
Affected systemsboc22oudp, boc22oudp01, boc22oudp02
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end user impact is expected. These servers are highly available and the end user on a properly configured LDAP client should not notice any downtime as the upgrade will be done on each backend server separately.
