OIT Systems Maintenance, Thur. Feb 8 from 3:00AM to 9:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 2/8/2017 from 3:00 AM to 9:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of change: Applying latest patches for Apache Tomcat servers
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: FAU Fin Aid Quiz, Account Self Service, ACH Payments
Affected systems: tuna1p.fau.edu, tuna2p.fau.edu, boc22oimwebp1.fau.edu, boc22oimwebp2.fau.edu
Expected End-user impact: Users may lose access to websites running services.

Security Enhancements for public facing web sites
Description of change: ​We are changing the cryptographic protocols that are allowed for the Banner production web sites that are public facing. Beginning on the 8th only TLS 1.2 will be allowed to those sites.

Description of change: We will be enabling mailbox auditing for office 365 mailboxes.

Expected End-user impact: This will only be done to OIT users in Office 365 (members of FAU-GRP-V-OIT in active directory).

Flashgordon DKIM Signing Maintenance – COMPLETED

We will be configuring DKIM signing on flashgordon shortly. During the configuration the mail delivery service may be restarted multiple times. If you have issues sending mail through flashgordon please wait 10-15 minutes and then try again.

 

Maintenance is complete, if you experience any issues sending email through flashgordon please open a ticket with the help desk.

Network Maintenance – Tuesday February 6th and Wednesday February 7th from 5:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m.

OIT will be performing network maintenance at all partner campuses and NWRDC on Tuesday February 6th from 5:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. and on the Boca Raton campus on Wednesday February 7th from 5:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. During the maintenance window on Tuesday, there will be a 15-20 minute network disruption preventing access to the internet and inter-campus communications at NWRDC and the Jupiter, Fort Lauderdale, Davie, Harbor Branch and Seatech campuses.. On Wednesday, there will be disruptions in connectivity to the BHRIC networks lasting between 15 and 20 minutes, but the remainder of the Boca Raton network including internet connectivity is expected to operate as normal with no disruption to service.
