OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. July 26 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 07/26/2018 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Event Management Software Upgrade
Description of change: OIT will be updating the front and back end components for the EMS platform.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: EMS Desktop clients, Virtual EMS http://events.fau.edu/VirtualEMS, Master Calendar http://events.fau.edu/​MasterCalendar
Affected systems: FAU app and web server
Expected End-user impact: During this time, EMS (both web and desktop client) and Master Calendar will be unavailable. End-users will need to upgrade to new EMS client on desktop. Instructions were provided via email.

Appworx and Harvest Database Maintenance
Description of change: Migrating the database for production Appworx and Harvest from Solaris to Linux.​
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Production Appworx and Harvest
Affected systems: enzo/oracleapps​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, Appworx and Harvest will be unavailable.  This will impact Appworx jobs that run during this time.​

Identity Management Updates
Description of change: OIT will install patches and upgrades to Oracle Identity Manager to enhance certain features.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Identity Management (OIM)
Affected systems: OIM servers
Expected End-user impact:  During this time, no end-user impact is expected. Changes are occurring to back end services and will not require any downtime.

Server Maintenance
Description of change: We are making improvements to the servers that store user related information.​
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 5:30 AM
Affected services: Servers that rely on ldapboc0 and ldapboc1
Affected systems: LDAP servers
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected. The change involves redirecting users from old servers to newer servers that are already in service.​

Two-Factor authentication for College of Business Azure Admin users
Description of change: OIT will enable two-factor (DUO) for College of Business Azure Admin users
Downtime window start: 6:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services:​Shibboleth ADFS integration
Affected systems: Shibboleth servers
Expected End-user impact: College of Business Admin Users will be prompted for two factor when they login to Office 365.
