OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Oct 22 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 10/22/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Server Upgrades – Pay-for-Print
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading Papercut production from 20.0.0 to 20.0.4 in order to fix a bug that is in the 20.0.0 software.
Downtime window start: 10/22/2020 4:00 AM
Downtime window end: 10/22/2020 7:00 AM
Affected services: ​Papercut printing – Pay for print
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users will not be able to print using Pay-for-Print.

Server Upgrade – Active Directory
Description of change: ​OIT will be upgrading the operating system on 4 of its authentication servers.
Downtime window start: 10/22/2020 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 10/22/2020 6:00 AM
Affected services: ​Active Directory
Expected End-user impact: During this time, authentication to Active Directory may be delayed, possible intermittent authentication issues on Davie and FTL campus.

Description of change: ​​​OIT will be modifying parameters of the storage system to increase security

Routine server maintenance – OnBase
Description of change: OIT will be changing the client timeout for OnBase to be more inline with the Single Sign on timeout.

Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected.

Windows configuration and deployment system upgrade
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading the system providing configuration, deployment and updates to Windows clients to the latest version.

Downtime window end: 10/22/2020 6:30 AM
Affected services: ​The system providing configuration, deployment and updates to Windows clients will be upgraded to the latest version​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, all OS deployments, app installs, windows updates from SCCM will be unavailable
