OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. March 3 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 0/0/2022 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:


Server Upgrade
Description of change: ​OIT is performing an upgrade on a data storage server that may affect some FAU websites on www.fau.edu.
Downtime window start 3/3/2022 3:00 AM
Downtime window end 3/3/2022 7:00 AM
Affected services: ​​Some webpages on www.fau.edu. Any other service that depends on mysql01 data storage server.
Expected End-user impact: ​Some users may be unable to load websites or services that depend on the data storage server


MYFAU Update
Description of change: The MYFAU mobile app will be be undergoing routine maintenance.

Downtime window end 3/3/2022 6:00 AM
Affected services: MYFAU iOS & Android App
Expected End-user impact: No downtime is anticipated but users will be prompted to download a new version of the iOS FAU Mobile App.


Email SPAM filter configuration change
Description of change: OIT will be changing the SPAM policy for 365 users
Downtime window start 3/3/2022 5:00 AM
Downtime window end 3/3/2022 5:05 AM
Affected services: Exchange Online
Expected End-user impact: No downtime is expected. After the change, only high confidence SPAM will be sent to the user’s Junk Mail folder​. Mail with a lesser confidence SPAM level will be delivered to the user’s inbox.
