OIT Maintenance Notification – July 7–15, 2026

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be performing routine systems maintenance, including but not limited to server reboots, security updates, configuration changes, and infrastructure upgrades during approved maintenance windows. The following systems and services may be impacted:


OWLDone and SPOT Server Maintenance

Description of Change:
OIT will be performing server maintenance that will require downtime for OWLDone and SPOT.

Change Window Start: July 7, 2026, 10:00 PM
Change Window End: July 8, 2026, 12:00 AM

Affected Services:

  • OWLDone
  • SPOT

Expected End-User Impact:
Faculty and students may be unable to access OWLDone and SPOT during the maintenance window.


Banner Access Management Maintenance

Description of Change:
OIT will be making configuration changes to Banner Access Management and related database tables.

Change Window Start: July 7, 2026, 5:00 PM
Change Window End: July 7, 2026, 6:00 PM

Affected Services:

  • Banner Access Management
  • Database tables GURUOBJ and GURUCLS

Expected End-User Impact:
No end-user impact is anticipated.


Enterprise Systems Server Maintenance

Description of Change:
OIT will be performing server maintenance affecting several enterprise applications and services. Some applications may experience intermittent outages while UAchieve will be unavailable.

Expected End-User Impact:
Users may experience intermittent service interruptions. UAchieve will be unavailable during the maintenance window.


Banner Maintenance

Description of Change:
OIT will be performing scheduled maintenance on Banner.

Change Window Start: July 9, 2026, 12:00 AM
Change Window End: July 9, 2026, 7:00 AM

Affected Services:

  • Banner Admin
  • Banner APIs
  • Banner Self-Service

Expected End-User Impact:
Banner Admin and Banner Self-Service will be unavailable during the maintenance window.


Server Security Maintenance

Description of Change:
OIT will be applying incremental security updates to several web servers.

Change Window End: July 9, 2026, 4:30 AM

Expected End-User Impact:
No end-user impact is expected.


Wireless Authentication Changes – Jupiter and Harbor Branch

Description of Change:
OIT will be updating the authentication method for the eduroam and WPA2 wireless networks.

Change Window Start: July 9, 2026, 6:00 AM
Change Window End: July 9, 2026, 7:00 AM

Affected Services:

  • eduroam wireless network
  • WPA2 wireless network

Expected End-User Impact:
Users may be prompted to re-authenticate their wireless devices.


Banner Database Account Maintenance

Description of Change:
Several Banner database accounts will be temporarily disabled as part of maintenance activities and subsequently re-enabled.

Change Window Start: July 9, 2026, 10:00 AM
Change Window End: July 9, 2026, 11:00 AM

Affected Services:

  • Applications and integrations utilizing affected Banner database accounts

Expected End-User Impact:
Integrations or applications using the affected accounts may experience temporary interruptions until the accounts are restored.


Desktop Access Changes – Administrative Departments

Description of Change:
OIT will be implementing desktop access changes for select administrative departments, including the removal of the Duo login window at Windows sign-in and requiring FAU VPN access for remote connections.

Change Window End: July 15, 2026

  • Registrar

Expected End-User Impact:
Users in affected departments will see changes to the Windows login experience and remote access requirements.
