Update: MyFAU Maintenance
The maintenance to MyFAU has been completed and MyFAU is now accessible. Some users may experience issues logging into MyFAU if their passwords were changed after 1 am on 9/10/15. We expect these issues to be resolved in the next few hours and users should not need to change their passwords again.
Immediate MyFAU Maintenance 12:00 pm 9/11/2015
MyFAU will be offline for immediate maintenance from noon until 2pm 9/11/2015. Users requiring access to Self Service may use the links in Blackboard until MyFAU access has been restored.
We will update this post regularly with updated information should this timeline change.
Undergraduate Admissions Application Upgraded
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has request several changes be applied to the undergraduate admissions application at apply.fau.edu.
The admissions application will be offline from 9:00 pm Friday July 17, 2015 – midnight Friday July 17, 2015 during these upgrades.
Enhanced Workday security
FAU is implementing additional security measures to better safeguard your information. Beginning this evening, Friday, July 17, off-campus access to Workday will be limited as follows:
- Self Service Functionality and Basic Approvals will work from anywhere (includes mobile).
- Initiating business processes while not connected to the FAU network (Wired or Wireless) will require VPN. Users who opt in to the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will not have this restriction. NOTE: You can only opt in to MFA if you received an email from OIT inviting you to do so. This option is NOT available to the majority of users.
- Downloading reports while not connected to the FAU network (wired or wireless) will require VPN.
- Hourly OPS will only be able to check in/out while connected to the University network (wired or wireless).
Single Sign On Updates Friday June 19, 2015 3am – 5am
The Single Sign On system will be upgrade Friday June 19, 2015 3am to 5am. During this time users may not be able to access services such as Banner Self Service, Network Registration Blackboard, Owl Applications, and the Help Desk.
[RESOLVED] Single Sign On Issues
Users may not be able to login to Outlook.fau.edu, Cobweb2.fau.edu, iOS, Android, Lync/Skype for Business and other Microsoft hosted services. We are investigating the problem and will update this post regularly.
Single Sign On Maintenance Complete
The maintenance to the Single Sign On system has been completed. Please report any problems to the Help Desk at helpdes.fau.edu.
OIT Systems System Patches, Thurs. Jan 28 from 12:00AM to 7:00AM
The Office of Information Technology will be performing critical systems maintenance on Thursday, 01/28/2015 from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM during the OIT maintenance window. This maintenance will require that numerous servers be rebooted and may result in longer then usual service disruptions.
The following services may experience periods of downtime between 3am and 7am. Directory Services (LDAP), Single Sign-on, Blackboard, FileLocker, Banner Self Service, Internet Native Banner (INB), DNS, Identity Manager, and the High Performance Computing Clusters.
Please note: Many systems such as Blackboard, Single Sign-on and Banner will remain online, however, users may experience reduced functionality during this maintenance period.
[Resolved] Lists.fau.edu error messages
Many mailing list owners may have received numerous (400+) error messages sent from sympa@lists.fau.edu. The messages are automatically generated by Lists.fau.edu when a user’s email address is updated and may be ignored. Please note we are investigating a way to prevent these warnings in the future.

If you are able to do so, you should probably update these data sources with
