Canvas is showing a “Failed to Log In” error message for users. Our team is aware of the issue and working to resolve as soon as possible.

[RESOLVED] Success Network (EAB Navigate) is experiencing issues

Success Network (EAB Navigate) is now fully operational. We will continue to monitor the situation and will place a new post if services degrade in the future.


Success Network (EAB Navigate) is currently experiencing performance issues due to the ongoing AWS outage. Users may encounter slow load times or difficulty accessing the system. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience.

Microsoft Services Disruption

Microsoft is currently experiencing issues with multiple services including some office applications and online portals. We do not currently have an ETA for service restoration but will post updates when the issues are resolved.

[Resolved] Errors Accessing Microsoft Services

2025/10/01 @ 10:00 am – We determined this was caused by a security policy affecting a very limited number of users. The policy has been adjusted to prevent the issue.

2025/10/01 @9:45 am – As of this morning, a limited number of users are experiencing issues logging into some Microsoft Services. We are investigating the problem and request that anyone who receives a “You can’t get there from here” message contact the Help Desk.

Issue signing into Office Apps on Windows Computers

We have identified an issue with Duo Authentication when signing into Office Apps on Windows computers. After Duo, the application just hangs and you are unable to activate Office. We are currently investigating.

Microsoft Entra MFA / Microsoft Authenticator replacing Duo

Starting Today, September 16th, Florida Atlantic University will begin transitioning Employees from DUO to Microsoft Entra MFA for secure login to Microsoft applications.

What’s Happening:

  • Employees will begin seeing a 4P prompt to setup the Microsoft Authenticator when signing into FAU Services.
  • After enrolling, Entra MFA will be activated for all Microsoft apps (Outlook, Teams, Office 365, etc.). Duo will remain for non-Microsoft logins until we fully transition in the next few months.

What You Need to Know:

  • You can choose from:
    • Microsoft Authenticator app (recommended)
    • Hardware token (e.g., YubiKey)
    • SMS text message
    • Additional options coming soon

[RESOLVED]Cisco Finesse Call Centers Unavailable

Cisco Finesse call centers are currently unavailable. Users are unable to sign-in to the system. We are investigating and will post an update as soon as possible.

OIT Systems Maintenance

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thur 7/24/2025 from 3:00AM to 8:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

  1. Server Maintenance
    • Description: OIT will be performing server maintenance.
    • Date and Time: July 24, 2025, from 4:00 AM to 4:30 AM.
    • Impacted Services: assessment.fau.edu, crosswalk.fau.edu, grademan.fau.edu, SoftLic.fau.edu, techfee.fau.edu, transient.fau.edu, iss.fau.edu.
    • End User Impact: No end user impact is expected as these are incremental security updates.
  2. TLS Certificate Replacements for VPN
    • Description: OIT will be replacing the TLS certificates used for VPN services.
    • Date and Time: July 24, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
    • Impacted Services: VPN and HTTPS web services.
    • End User Impact: No end user impact is expected. There is a small chance that a user’s connection will drop if they are logging into the VPN at the moment the certificate is replaced.
  3. Update to Civics Literacy Process
    • Description: Update to Civics Literacy Process.
    • Date and Time: July 24, 2025, from 3:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
    • Impacted Services: Banner.
    • End User Impact: Students may be affected
