In MDF main APC UPS needs to be powered down
Possibly network and telephone services could be disrupted for a brief but unspecified time. There is no ETA for the resolution of this problem at this time.
Treasure Coast Campus is the only area that will be impacted.
All www.fau.edu component servers have been restarted.
IRM will be installing a critical security patch to the FAU Web Servers including those that host the www.fau.edu website .
A httpd service restart will be performed at 12:30pm EST on the following systems and no anticipated downtime is expected:
This is a notification that the MyLab product that you are using is currently experiencing a service interruption. This problem started at approximately 5:00 am (MDT). Pearson engineers are responding and working to restore service. We will send an additional notification once all MyLab systems have returned to normal.

The WordPress server was successfully upgraded to PHP version 5.2 to allow for compatibility with future software updates.

IRM will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deem necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 08/25/2011 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during IRM maintenance window. Description of Maintenance: We will be upgrading PHP to version 5.2.4 on the WordPress (http://wordpress.fau.edu) box. The upgraded version of PHP is required for newer releases of the WordPress blog.
When: 5:00 AM – 6:30 AM
Affected Service: Xitracs, SharePoint, OwlApp, Blackboard
Affected Systems: hvboc05, xitracs, spwfe1, owlapp1, bbx2, bbpproxy2
Description of Maintenance: We will be making a BIOS change on hvboc05 which requires a reboot of the system

Students are now able to register their hardware mac address on the wired network in the residential areas.
