Compromised Email – Resolved

Our Systems staff members have reported that a faculty e-mail address has been compromised, and from this address someone has sent thousands of e-mails all over the world. Most of these messages are bouncing back and creating a problem for the mail system. We are in the process of cleaning up these “bad e-mails”. Mail on MyFAU is flowing a bit slow as a result of these messages bouncing.

This issue was resolved and emails were running properly by the next day.
