Resolved – FAUGuest Web Application Issues

The FAUGuest wireless network is completely up and running at this time.

The issue has been identified and updates are being currently applied.  We will update this post once the work has been completed and the system is available from all campus locations.

The web application that is used to authenticate clients is inaccessible on the FAUGuest wireless network.  We are investigating the cause and will provide updates as they are available.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. June 29 from 12:01AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 06/29/2017 from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Description of change: The Financial Aid office has requested the installation of the two referenced patches in Banner on June 29, 2017. The patches contain code for FISAP updates and updates to the Pell Grant disbursement process, both of which are critical to keeping Banner up-to-date and working in production.

Description of change: Installation of Web Tailor 8.8.2 upgrade and Application Navigator 2.1.0 upgrade. Web Tailor provides support for the Application Navigiator process and these two upgrades are required to allow access to both Banner 8 and Banner XE once the single sign on process is in place.

Downtime window end: 7:00 AM

[COMPLETED] Telephone system core battery replacement Thursday, June 22, 2017 @ 10PM

The telephone system core battery will be replaced Thursday, June, 22, 2017 at 10PM through Friday, June 23, 2017 6AM

During this time, there will be intermittent disruption of inbound and outbound telephone calls.

In the event of an emergency, the FAU police department can be reached at 561-271-5163 by using a cellular or other non-FAU phone.
