Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/07/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Server software change
Description of change: OIT will apply some updates to fix a licensing issue with the Citrix setup for the OIT Lab team. Xentegra has suggested using a GPO to set RDS licensing and we are implementing this suggestion.
Downtime window start: 4:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Virtual applications from apps.fau.edu.
Expected End-user impact: During this time there might be a short downtime if the server needs to be rebooted. During that time, end-users will not be able to access virtual apps.

Description of change: OIT will apply patches to the Grouper application
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: Grouper
Expected End-user impact: During this time no end-user impact is expected. LDAP group changes will not occur while the system is offline.

Banner database maintenance
Description of change: OIT will add additional fine-grained access control polcies to restrict access to SSN columns in specific Banner tables. This will impact a group of users with direct SQL access to Banner.

Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected.
