OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. May 21 from 12:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/21/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Server configuration change
Description of change: OIT is changing the way the iOS clients connect to virtual apps (apps.fau.edu). Currently VPN mode is requested, but OIT will be changing it to WICA mode based on recommendation from Citrix.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Virtual apps located at apps.fau.edu.
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected. If you have trouble connecting, please try again after the maintenance window.

Admission apps load changes for parent info and preferred names
Description of change: OIT will apply changes to the load process of admission apps to load parent info and preferred names to Banner.
Downtime window start: 12:00 AM
Downtime window end: 12:30 AM
OIT Units involved in the change (Internal Only)  AS group
Affected services: Banner custom load process of admission apps
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected.

[Completed]Network maintenance on May 29 at 6:00 am

OIT will be performing network maintenance on Friday, May 29 from 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. Due to the nature of the maintenance, users may experience intermittent Internet outages lasting approximately 5 minutes during this window. The Internet connection will be rerouted to the backup connection to minimize any downtime.
