OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Sept 17 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 09/17/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

New Change of Major Process
Description of change: OIT will deploy a new Change of Major form and workflow in Onbase
Downtime window start: 9/17/2020 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 9/17/2020 7:00 AM
Affected services: ​Onbase Forms and Workflow (downtime 5min max)
Expected End-user impact: During this time, students and staff will not be able to access Onbase

OwlCard Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be automating the barcode generation process for Owl Card
Downtime window start: 9/17/2020 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 9/17/2020 4:00 AM
Affected services: No services will be impacted​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, ​no end-user impact is expected. Owl Card center will no longer have to scan a barcode into the system then send that paper to the library. ISO and barcode will automatically be created in the Owl Card and Bank Tables.

Description of change: OIT will be upgrading the operating system on one of its web servers.​

Expected End-user impact: During this time, web sites listed in the Affected Services will be unavailable during the change window.​

Description of change
OIT will be upgrading the hardware on one of its web servers.​

Affected services: assessment, crosswalk, directory, dyndev, dynweb, facsacs, facstaffalert, grademan, gradrates, inauguration, netlookup, pinkytest, securedredirect, serviceawards, softlic, techfee, transient, vpas
Expected End-user impact: During this time, websites listed in the Affected Services may be intermittently unavailable.​

Time Status Recalculation Fix
Description of change: OIT will fix a bug that was preventing time status from being calculated properly.

Affected services: Registration/Banner
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected. The fix will properly recalculate time status when courses are added or dropped.

Updating SPOT Verbiage
Description of change: OIT will change some logic and the verbiage displayed to students on the SPOTS website when students access too early, too late, or have no eligible classes.​​ Should be no down time. ​

Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected. The change will provide students an improved description why the SPOTS are unavailable to them.
