Resolved – Banner Services Outage
Services have been restored and confirmed working. Please report any issues with Banner services to the Help Desk.
We are currently experiencing an outage with our Banner production environment. We are working with our Managed Services Provider to restore the service as soon as possible. At this moment Self Service, Registration, Admin and other Banner Services are not available. In addition, this outage may impact other systems that read information from Banner such as: EZAdvising, OwlDone, etc. We will provide an update once services are restored.
OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Oct. 12 from 12:01AM to 7:00AM
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 10/12/2023 from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading two virtual load balancer servers to newer versions to improve stability.
Downtime window start: 10/12/2023 4:00 AM
Downtime window end: 10/12/2023 7:00 AM
Affected services: This will impact all services currently handled by the load balancer from www.fau.edu, banner, talon, OnBase, lmsapps, and other services. The impact should be minimal as the services fail over to the other load balancer.
End-user impact: There may be a short interruption of services during the maintenance window. All services should be available after the maintenance has been completed.
