OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Dec 1 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 12/01/2016 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

MyFAU

Migration of mcportal1, mcportal2, mcsource from old bigip to new bigip
When: 3:00AM – 5:00AM
Affected services: Myfau web portal
Affected systems: Direct access to mcsource, mcportal1, and mcportal2
Description of maintenance: OIT is continuing the move of servers from older bigip load balancer hardware to the new ones. This move will be for the backend servers that support the myfau.fau.edu site.
User impact: The main myfau.fau.edu access should be unaffected but users may experience interruptions with components within myfau.fau.edu during the transition.

FAU Main Web site (www.fau.edu)

Backend storage move for www.fau.edu
When: 3:30AM – 4:30AM
Affected services: The main fau site should stay up during this period. There may be interruptions to Omniupdate CMS updates as well as manual webpage updates to wisex.
Affected systems: wise, wisex, swise, webnet4, webnet5, webnet6, webnet7, webnet8
Description of maintenance: We are moving the data that is served up by FAU’s main website www.fau.edu to the newer storage appliances​
User impact: Updates to www.fau.edu or any other sites hosted on www.fau.edu may be interrupted
