When: 3:00 – 6:00 AM
Affected Services: Lists.fau.edu
Affected Systems: Lists.fau.edu
Groups Involved: Middleware
Description of Maintenance: We will be replacing the boca list server with a clone of the server running at northwest. This maintenance must occur because the existing server cannot be updated and packaged software cannot be installed due to a corruption of the RPM databases.
User Impact: The list servers will be offline during this maintenance we will return them to service around 5:30 am. Users will not be able to send or receive messages from any address on the @lists.fau.edu domain. Users will also be using a cleaned up style for the application.
When: 5:30am to 6:00am
Affected Services: Email
Description of Maintenance:
The current alias file generation process will be altered so that those with mail forwarding addresses to ad.fau.edu or my.fau.edu will be directly reflected in the aliases. Mail for most people with gmail or owa_access roles will now exit the virus scanners and go directly to exchange or gmail instead of unnecessarily flowing into MyFAU’s mail server (mcmail) and then getting forwarded from there.
User Impact: None
