OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. May 25 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/25/2017 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Upgrade NetApp cluster ONTAP to 8.3.2P9
When: 4:00AM – 7:00AM
Affected services: Not applicable
Affected systems: Not applicable
Description of maintenance:  ​Upgrade NetApp Data ONTAP from 8.3.2P2 Cluster-Mode to 8.3.2P9 Cluster-Mode.  The Cluster Update wizard fails over a node to its partner and then performs the upgrade and then fails the node back.  The cluster is upgraded non-disruptively by performing what they call a rolling upgrade
User impact:  ​There may be a slight pause when a user accesses his/her data if it’s during a period when the Cluster Update wizard is failing a node over or back.

Adding additional Resources for OIM (Oracle Identity Manager)
When: 5:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected services: Account claiming and password resets – ​ https://accounts.fau.edu
Affected systems:  ​boc22oimp1, ​boc22oimp2
Description of maintenance: OIT will be adding more resources to process user accounts.
User impact: ​Users will not be able to claim new accounts or change passwords while systems are restarted. Approximately 15 minutes
