OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. July 9 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 7/9/2015 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted: ***************************************************

When: 6:15AM – 6:35AM
Affected services: None
Affected systems: None
Description of maintenance: Upgrade Ironport (bertx.fau.edu) to version 9.1.0-032
User impact: No end-user impact is expected

When: 3:00AM – 3:30AM

Description of maintenance: OIT will be phyiscally moving the storage that supports a number of systems.
User impact: During the window these systems will be unavailable.

Single-Sign On Usability Improvement
When: 3:00AM – 5:00AM
Affected services: Blackboard, Workday, Outlook web access, OwlApps (Google Applications and Gmail), Library Services. College of Business Media Streaming, all signle sign on services.
Affected systems: cas1.fau.edu, cas2.fau.edu
Description of maintenance: The single sign on system will be updated to notify users that they cannot bookmark or leave the browse sitting on the single signon pages.
User impact: Single Sign On will be offline for 10 – 15 minutes during the upgrade. This downtime will prevent users for accessing the above services.

Harbor Branch network outage due to power loss

Harbor Branch partial network outage restored

At 5:10 pm we experienced a hardware failure on the Harbor Branch campus which affected buildings 04, 16, 18, 34, and 37. The replacement hardware is now in production and the network has been restored.

Marketplace Payment System (TouchNet) Unavailable between June 29 at 4:00pm to July 2nd at 8:00am

Due to the fiscal year end close, as well as our conversion to Workday, TouchNet payment processing systems will be taken offline starting June 29^th,2015 at 4:00(pm) EST. The system will then be brought back online as of July 2^nd, 2015 at 8:00(am) EST.

This will cause any credit card or web-check payment attempts to fail on Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet Ready Partner sites. As such, it may be advisable to place a notification message on your storefront or website.
