Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 06/11/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 3:00AM to 6:00AM
Affected services: OS deployment from boc22cmsccm01 – Reporting/patching/application push from boc22cmsccm01
Affected systems: boc22cmsccm01, boc22cmsccmsql
Description of maintenance: OIT will be installing a service pack for System Center Configuration Manager
User impact: This update will not affect the general campus community. For technical staff, the OS deployment/reporting/patching/application push will be unavailable during the window

[RESOLVED] Helpdesk Ticketing System Slowness

In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Affected services: CAS and Shibboleth
Affected systems: cas1.fau.edu, cas2.fau.edu
Expected end-user impact: No end-user impact is expected
Description of change: OIT is applying an update to single-sign on to resolve empty student id number and login errors that were reported over the last two weeks.

Affected systems: Banner Financial Aid
Expected end-user impact: No end-user impact is expected
Description of change: OIT created new function to calculate period budget group that will be applied.

Affected services: All systems in BOC OU
Affected systems: All systems in BOC OU
Expected end-user impact: No end-user impact is expected
Description of change: OIT will enable remote desktop on computers it manages in order for User Services to better support those systems.

[RESOLVED] Blackboard log in error

The Office of Information Technology is investigating reports that a small number of users are receiving an error message when logging into Blackboard. If you receive a message referencing shibsp:ListenerException please submit a Helpdesk ticket at https://helpdesk.fau.edu/

We are working to locate the cause of the problem and will update this post regularly.

OIT will be performing maintenance on Monday, May 25 from 12:01 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. Due to the nature of the maintenance, users may experience intermittent network outages lasting approximately 15 – 20 minutes during this window. This outage will affect connectivity to the Internet as well as connectivity within FAU.

In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 3:00AM to 7:00AM
Affected services: Single-Sign On (SSO), Oracle Identity Manager, Waveset Identity Manager
Affected systems: Single-Sign On (SSO), Oracle Identity Manager, Waveset Identity Manager
Description of maintenance: We will be installing a tool to synchronize passwords from the existing identity management system to the new identity management system.
User impact: None, there is no downtime with this change
