OIT has traced the problem related to tonight’s Blackboard problem to the database which supports the Blackboard environment. As a result, it degraded the performance and caused the application to become unavailable. Full service is expected to be restored by 9:30pm.

OIT will be performing network maintenance from 2:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Due to the nature of the maintenance, FAU may experience intermittent network outages lasting approximately 10 – 15 minutes during this maintenance window. This outage will affect connectivity to the Internet as well as connectivity within FAU.
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 09/04/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.
