Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/04/2023 from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. RDS Licensing Server upgrade
Description of change: OIT will perform a Windows OS upgrade on our Remote Desktop Licensing Server

Downtime window end: 05/04/2023 6:00 AM
Affected services: This change will have an impact on any services using the server for remote desktop services, terminal services or VDI.
End-user impact: Faculty and Staff using the remote desktop services, terminal services or VDI.


Secure File Server maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be migrating data on the secure file server.

Downtime window end: 05/04/2023 4:00 AM
Affected services: All andisec shares
End-user impact: All andisec shares will be unavailable for a short time during the window


API Upgrades
Description of change: The Office of Information Technology will deploy several new features and bug fixes for the API tool that enables features in FAU Forms, Single SignOn and, other tools.

[RESOLVED] Papercut Print Services Intermittently Unavailable 4/20/23

Papercut printing services have been restored.

Papercut pay for print services will be intermittently unavailable this morning while we fix an issue with the software. This issue will impact printing in the library, computer labs, and jobs submitted via the web portal fauprint.fau.edu. We are working to correct the problem as quickly as possible.

Zoom – New Meeting Join Flow
Description of change: Zoom has created a new meeting join experience and will be enforcing it on all accounts this month. The new join flow will help to improve the user experience of joining a meeting. Endpoint Software Change
Description of change: OIT will be making a configuration change to Office 365 apps software on endpoints.

Downtime window end: 04/20/2023 8:30 AM
Affected services: Office 365 app installations on Intune managed computers.
End-user impact: Office 365 apps may be forcibly closed going forward to install updates if they have reached the update deadline (7 days).


Identity Management Pain Point fixes
Description of change: The accounts management team has identified two pain points that cause the Help Desk to receive call tickets. These adjustments will automatically correct issues with the Outlook Global Address list and users mistakenly being provided Outlook 365 mailboxes.

[RESOLVED] TouchNet Systems Maintenance, Friday, April 21st from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

The TouchNet payment processing system will be undergoing maintenance -Starting from 3:00am to 7:00am (EST) Friday,April 21st. This affects student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services. We expect all systems to be back online no later than 7:00 am (EST) that morning. When the system is back up and ready to go, we will notify you. You may wish to place warnings on your website, or take your store offline. If this scheduled downtime creates a conflict for your operations, please feel free to contact us at FIS@fau.edu for further discussion. Expected End-user impact: During this time all student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services will be unavailable during this maintenance cycle.
