OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. April 7 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 04/07/2016 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Blackboard building block install
When: 5:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected services: Blackboard
Affected systems: ​Blackboard
Description of maintenance: OIT will install a new Pearson Building Block to facilitate Grade Synchronization between certain Pearson courses and Blackboard
User impact: This will require rolling restarts, so the downtime should be minimal, if any.​

Move jira/confluence to DMZ ip
When: 5:30AM – 6:00AM
Affected services: jira and kb (confluence)
Affected systems: ​ jira.fau.edu / kb.fau.edu​
Description of maintenance: We are changing the internet addresses of jira.fau.edu and confluence.fau.edu to allow access from outside of FAU.
User impact: Users of the jira project tracking system and of the oit confluence collaborative documentation site will not be able to connect​

Description of maintenance: ​Install Financial Aid 8.26.0 upgrade in production. This is a critical upgrade release and the Financial Aid office has been waiting for it for several weeks. They need it in order to begin processing incoming student financial aid awards.
User impact: No user impact is anticipated​

RESOLVED: Echo360 Service Restart — Media Upload Issue

Emergency network update at 12:01 am

Just after midnight tonight, between 12:01 am and 6:00 am, OIT will perform an emergency update to the network router on the Boca Raton campus.  This update will cause an interruption to the data and telephone networks.
