[01:00 10/02/2021] The issue has been resolved. The vendor has corrected the issue with their software and everything is working as expected. Administrators will need to contact OIT for instructions to connect to the administrative interface as a configuration setting was changed during the repair.
[21:00 10/01/2021] Certain Virtual Desktops on the BHRIC may not be accessible due to a failure of a backend service. We are working with the vendor to resolve the issue and will update this post regularly. If you experience an issue accessing your virtual desktop please report the problem to your IT support team. They will be able to work with OIT to bring the virtual desktop online.

Certificate Expired error when signing in to Canvas

Mac users running macOS 10.11 (El Capitan) or earlier are experiencing a “certificate expired” error when trying to sign in to Canvas. If you are experiencing this, click this link to learn how to run software updates on your Mac. Once updated, you should be able to sign in without experiencing the error.

We are aware that certain Apple devices cannot be updated past a certain OS version. In these cases, either find a new device to replace your current one or consult the FAU Library’s Laptop Computer Loan Policy*If applying, please mention that you are using an older Mac computer and cannot use Canvas on it in the notes field of the application.*

[Resolved] Papercut web printing is unavailable

The Papercut printing system is experiencing an issue with web print. We are working to correct the issue. Standard printing from campuses is unaffected by this.

[NETWORK MAINTENANCE] – Boca Raton, Jupiter, Davie, and Fort Lauderdale – Saturday October 2nd from 12:00 a.m until 2:00 a.m.

​OIT will be performing core network maintenance on the Boca Raton, Jupiter, Davie, and Fort Lauderdale campuses from 12:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m on Saturday October 2nd. During this time there will be brief network outages affecting the Davie and Fort Lauderdale campuses lasting about 10 minutes while the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses will experience momentary network disruptions.

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 09/30/2021 from 12:05 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.
