On Friday, December 18, 2020, between 6:00 am and 6:30 am, OIT will upgrade the network in the FAU Administration Building # 10. This upgrade will cause intermittent interruptions to the network, wireless, and telephones for approximately 5 minutes. Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 12/03/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Description of change: Papercut will be migrated from the current production environment to a new production environment. As part of the upgrade, please take note: Papercut will be offline for 3 days, from 12/2/2020-12/4/2020, while all hardware and software is upgraded and tested.

Description of change: OIT is going to change IPA home directories to keep Ceph from enumerating invalid home directories

The pay-for-print service will be unavailable due to maintenance and necessary upgrades starting Wednesday, Dec 2 at 8:00am until Friday, Dec 4 at 5:00pm.
During this time, you will not be able to submit print jobs via pay-for-print.

Canvas and Respondus LockDown Browser have reported issues due to problems with Amazon Web Services (AWS). FAU students and teachers may experience problems accessing parts of Canvas or LockDown Browser exams. There is no reported time frame yet for a fix for this issue. Updates will follow as we get them.
FAU experienced unplanned network connectivity issues between 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. today. Network connectivity has been restored, but OIT may still be working to restore some services that may have been impacted.
eGrades and the University Forms (frevvo) are currently experiencing an outage and may not work as expected. We are investigating the problem and will update this notice soon.
OIT will be performing emergency network maintenance on the Boca Raton campus tomorrow morning from 5:00 a.m. until 5:10 a.m. During this time, network connectivity may be briefly interrupted on the Boca Raton campus.
The TouchNet payment processing system will be undergoing maintenance -Starting from 3:00am to 7:00am (EST) Thursday, November 19th. This affects student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services. We expect all systems to be back online no later than 7:00 am (EST) that morning. When the system is back up and ready to go, we will notify you. You may wish to place warnings on your website, or take your store offline. If this scheduled downtime creates a conflict for your operations, please feel free to contact us at FIS@fau.edu for further discussion. Expected End-user impact: During this time all student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services will be unavailable during this maintenance cycle.
